In the park in which they usually meet, Sono invites his friends for their trip by express train. Nobita looks very worried then as Doraemon has been missing for a few days. Nobita returns home to see if Doraemon is back. Doraemon explains that he had obtained tickets for a Galactic Express train from the 22nd century. The train’s destination and travel time are unknown. After expressing concern about Nobita’s missing school, Doremon assured him that he would board the train and return the same day.
The next day, Nobita invites his friends to Galaxy Express. Xian and Shizuka agree except for Suno who wants them to join him instead. At first, though, he became hesitant. There are 58 trains on the train, though 8 are visible from outside. Each car has 5 rooms. Nobita and his friend Carriage No. 7. Once the train reaches its destination planet, the trains are separated. Friends spread and enjoy different play planets. Nobita and Doraemon enjoy shooting lessons while Gian and Suno face misery in learning ninja techniques.
